Sachin Tendulkar To my mind, it is telling that we achieved most of our notable success this year, in the absence of Tendulkar. Its time he retires from Tests/ODIs. His fitness isnt improving, he is increasingly getting bowled/LBW, which means that he isnt picking up the ball as early as he used to, and face it - He stopped terrorising bowlers a good half a dozen years ago. His getting LBW and pretending the ball kept low is agonisingly painful and we saw an encore in the 2nd Test vs. South Africa. 2. My wish list for the new year - May we never see the likes of Ashley Giles or Robin Peterson on a cricket field again - May Ganguly and Laxman be in the WC Squad. - May Australia NOT win the World Cup - 1.
